The Model T Arrives

This was the original Model T I purchased on E-bay in June of 2006. It was represented as a partially restored 1922 pick up. However, when it arrived I determined the only thing that was partially restored was the pick up body. That body was so poorly constructed I knew I had to discard it and start from scratch. In addition, according to the VIN number on the engine, the engine was built for a 1924 model. Sheet metal was missing, too. There were no rear fenders or engine cowling. The front fenders, running boards, splash guards were pitted and badly rusted underneath. They would need serious body work. Later I elected to replace them with reproduction sheet metal parts. The wheel spokes needed replacement, too.
