Disassembly

Once garaged, the body was removed. It was discarded as there was nothing of value to save. The sheet metal was also removed to expose the bare chassis. The radiator was in good condition, but since we were going to pull the motor and transmission, that was removed. Later I learned that the radiator needed to be replaced since it required the taller model to fit the 1924 configuration.

At this point I had not yet decided on the body choice. We just wanted to strip everything off to the bare chassis to sand blast and paint it. In the stripping we noticed the radius rods that stabilize the rear axel by connecting to the transmission had rusted out and needed replacement. I had a difficult time finding the right pieces in good conditions, but Lang's Antique Auto parts came through. The car required 6 or 7 auto part sources before it was completed.
